wildie
I had a memory slot fail on my MSI m/b. Bought a new board MSI G41M-P28/G41M--P26 and CORSAIR 4 gig stick, CMX4GX3M1A1333C9 and I would like to use my old Intel Celeron CPU. It runs @ 2.8 mhz. Has a 256 cache and FSB is 533. Will these be compatable with each other? This is my first experience with a problem like this and if I have posted in the wrong area, please advise me! And please be gentle with your comments. I'm older than your grand-father!

So, does this mean that my present CPU is no good? From your link to MSI I found that my model 3.36 SL8H9 celeron is supposed to have the FSB at 133 and yet I have 533 stamped on the case. Any idea of what this means?
Wired
They're compatible, but to get the memory to run at 1333 MHz you'd have to overclock the CPU.

wildie
Just for the record, i fired up my new m/b tonight and am pleased to report that the Celeron has worked well with this board. I have yet to try over-clocking by changing from Auto to XMP. Thanks again!
