So I’m upgrading my SSD on my PC and I only have one M.2 slot. Can I copy my OS to my HDD, then remove and replace my old m.2 SSD with the new one. Reboot with the HDD, then paste my OS back to my new SSD? Could I do this with an external Hard drive instead of my internal just so I don’t mess up my internal hard drive? Is there a good guide or video for upgrading SSD with only one m.2 slot?

I would recommend you perform a clean install rather than clone/migrate the OS.

I would also highly recommend cleanly installing Windows. Migration can be a great tool, especially in a pinch, but sometimes software/OSs don't play nice and can only cause further headache.
I personally (try to) do a clean install of Windows every 6-12 months depending on the system and its usage. |
