Zatanus
Hi, My Corsair Force 3 480GB has the 1.3.2 FW, and I can't update with the Toolbox. I done the standart AHCI 1.0 move with no luck, and i'm ready for the oldtool procedure. I downloaded the 5.05 FW. Is there a real improvement after the FW update? Or is just for fun? Thanx in advance.

Yellowbeard
Use the manual tool and update method. After you do this, run the toolbox again. http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=110257
Zatanus
Thanx Yellowbeard! I´ll try this. But my question is: Is a worth procedure? I´ll see performance gains? with FW 1.3.2 this is my CrystalDisk result, with updated AMD AHCI driver:
Yellowbeard
If you see any performance gains at all, they will be very small. Our general suggestion is that if your system is stable and doing what it is supposed to do, no need to update firmware.
Zatanus
There's a way to achieve the 540MB reads and 425MB writes per second as noted in the product specs??? :winking:
bogdan_kr
Your drive is most likely connected to SATA II connector. If so you won't go faster I guess. The way to achieve best speeds is to connect the drive to SATA III connector of a decent controller and use ATTO Disk Benchmark :winking:
