vazma
Hi, I have 2 modules CMK16GX4M2B3000C15 ver5.32. I am waiting for my MSI B450M Mortar to arrive but according to the motherboard memory support list my Ryzen 2600 is compatible with CMK16GX4M2B3000C15 ver5.30. I am checking the web and I can see various 5.3x versions but I am really confused about the status. Are there any differences between ver5.30,ver5.32 or ver5.39? Do you think that it will create compatibity issues? Thank you in advance, Cheers
emissary42
The Version number is based on the ICs used on the kit. Ver5.30 = Hynix 8Gbit AFR Ver5.32 = Hynix 8Gbit CJR Ver5.39 = Hynix 8Gbit MFR You can confirm this via checking your kit with Thaiphoon Burner. From my experience Hynix 8Gbit CJR or Ver5.32 work very well on Ryzen, a lot better then either AFR or MFR based kits actually. So you should be fine. vazma
Hey, Thanks for your reply. Well the thing is that in MSI website lists v5.30 as a Samsung chipset Corsair CMK16GX4M2B3000C15 ver5.30 3000 2933 Samsung 1.35v SINGLE 8GB source: MSI-MORTAL I guess I should consider it as a typo? emissary42
Maybe a mislabeled kit or a typo. We had a couple of mislabeled kits as well in the last months, however the always managed to do their specs regardless. If you already own the kit, you can confirm it via Thaiphoon Burner.
