Basil Posted September 22, 2009 Share Posted September 22, 2009 To put this into perspective, I am using a HX450w, which *should* by rights have the same output as a VX450. I have 2 low-power (no PCI-e power inputs) 9800GTs in an SLI configuration, and they seem to work alright... and have a look at my specs, you'll see that with the amount of other stuff in my PC, surely I'm overtaxing it. Power-wise, you should well and truly be in the clear with a VX450 and said graphics card. I'll also make the observation that Vista is resource-hungry, so that could well be a possible cause as to why your system and a 512mb 9800GT (in comparison to a 1GB 9800GT) won't perform quite as good either.
