jvillaveces
Are there plans to extend the Hydro Series HG10 GPU bracket to the GTX 980 series of cards? I have been looking at other AIO GPU coooling approaches, but I would wait for Corsair if a product launch is scheduled for the near future. RITEinTH3eye
I'm waiting for the same thing, I hope they say something about this at PAX East 2015, like they did at CES 2015.
jvillaveces
Because I saw the entry for the 780 in the Products section, I assumed that it was in the street, but it isn't. See http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?t=137349. If the 780 bracket is still in development, the 980 is probably a glimmer in an engineer's eye, if even that. It's probably no use waiting, for it might be a long wait!
Corsair Employee Corsair Dustin Posted March 5, 2015 Corsair Employee Share Posted March 5, 2015 The 780 got delayed due to opting to integrate a blower fan later on in development. The 980 is proceeding as planned. ;)
jvillaveces
That is somewhat reassuring. Can you share what those plans are in terms of timing, i.e., when would it be available?
Corsair Employee Corsair Dustin Posted March 5, 2015 Corsair Employee Share Posted March 5, 2015 Unfortunately, I can't.
jvillaveces
Well, the HG10 N780 is now shipping! Does this mean anything for the 980 version? I promise if you tell us here we will keep it a secret!
jvillaveces
EVGA just released their 980 bracket and it looks great, BUT it will only work with reference cards, i.e. ACX 2.0 cards are not supported. Maybe Corsair can beat them to the punch with a version that does support these...
HOODedAssault
I highly doubt that. When corsair comes out with a bracket for it I'd bet the farm it will only be for reference as well. It would be a big loss to put time and money into engineering for 1 custom PCB card. R u positive the acx 2.0 has a custom PCB. Traditionally evga only has custom PCB on the ultra high end gpu. Like the classified and kingpin.
jvillaveces
It has a reference PCB but a non-reference cooler -- two fans instead of one. The EVGA bracket, like Corsair's (so far) depends on the card's fan to cool the VRAM and Mosfets, so it won't work with ACX 2.0-equipped cards. ANyway, my thinking was that it might be a good idea to fill an unserved niche instead of (just) competing with a functionally identical product. Forum mods/corsair employees have been keeping very quiet even though they said the brackets would be released in March. At this rate, I estimate that we aren't gonna see these brackets get released until June.

Constitutions
The picture of the bracket on the product page changed. Before the stok fan was red but now it changed to black. You still can't buy it but they obviously changed the picture for a reason. Maybe we're closer than I thought.

Avenger_144
Any news about GTX980 version? Will it be ever released or mayby it depends on N780 success? EVGA Hybrid Water Cooler looks very promising and I'm not sure if HG10 N980 is still worth waiting.
