philbean
Had a HX750i in my desktop for about 12 months. For most of that time, when I've turned power on at the wall.. the PSU has made a 'pop' noise. The retailer and Google said this is common for these PSUs (capacitors ?) and not to worry.. so I didn't. Today, turned on at the wall... POP as usual. Pressed the power switch on the PC.. nothing! The USB ports on the PC are still delivering power (they do when the PC is plugged in but not powered on) but the PC won't boot. I tried turning off at the mains and on again and the PSU is still 'popping' Opened the PC up and the LED on the PSU is not illuminated at all (should it be with the mains on?) and I tried pushing the fan test button... nothing! Is it buggered ?? and if not.. what else could it be ?
red-ray
Given the fan test button does nothing I suspect it's failed, request an RMA via https://corsair.secure.force.com/home/home.jsp and see what they say. Remember to upload your original invoice.
