DoesMySSD Posted January 8, 2014 Share Posted January 8, 2014 I just started the SSD Toolbox and it offered "Firmware update" so I clicked it. It showed "Updating from M306 to M311." Started it and after exaclty 4-seconds I got "Update Failed," no error numbers or indication of why it failed. I then shut down everything I could in win8 without actually shutting down win8. Tried again. Same. OK, so how is it done? Do I need to install another boot drive then update the Firmware as a USB drive? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

snfo Posted January 9, 2014 Share Posted January 9, 2014 I have seem some situations where the Intel/AMD SATA drivers are the cause for unsuccessful updates. Try changing those drivers to the Standard Windows SATA drivers Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
