Default ax860i randomly shuts down

Hey Guys

i got an issue which i think is known among the AXI series, for randomly turning off.

I read several places that increasing fan speed can help allevate the problem.

However i don't have the COMM port cable. I bought this from someone selling it without an invoice.

The random shut down happens once a week or so.

Where can i get cables to manage the PSU?

will the link below work?

Hi sleepyknight, you would need this cable and a Commander Mini to be able to control the fan on the PSU.

Sorry, sleepyknight, it's a lot older and wouldn't work with the Commander PRO. In any case, if the PSU was crashing because of heat, technically the fan should have spun up on it's own to prevent that. There may be an issue with the PSU/fan control itself.

i ended up ordering the pmbus and usb adapter cable from corsair store. because i confirmed it was a heat problem by attaching an external fan to the PSU.

Primitive, but it confirmed it :D
