Mr. Slugo
I have 2x256 of XMS3500c2 running Dual Channel (@260fsb) and need to upgrade to 1 gig so I found 2 more and I am waiting for delivery.....I now read Asus' QVL and find that Corsair ram (and a few others) will not run with all the dims populated in DC....is this true? If so, want to trade for some 512 sticks...j/k....no i'm not...wanta :D:
Wired
It's not the memory that can cause 4 sticks not to run, it's the motherboard. Some wierd chipset thing.
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted July 8, 2004 Corsair Employee Share Posted July 8, 2004 In addition, you may not be able to over clock as high as you can with 2 modules when you have all four installed, but they should not be a problem. Just set the Dim Voltage to 2.75 Volts!
Mr. Slugo
Thanks...I'll let you know how it go's....might need to sell all 4 and get 2x 512's......what would be the best ram for this chipset that would OC nice(Around 250+fsb) and still keep tight timing? Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted July 9, 2004 Corsair Employee Share Posted July 9, 2004 I would suggest Twinx1024-3200XL with this MB!
