From a response given on my thread by someone who seems very knowledgable, it may not be a case of newer/older, but possibly the manufacturer. Some are Samsung B-die and others are made by another company. If I had to guess, I would say the "C" revision is not Samsung. The two I queried were "K" (Samsung) and "C" (not Samsung - possibly Hynix or something). You could try opening a ticket to ask the manufacturer, but they may not tell you.
