I used to have a boring 750D / Blue LED fan build. This year I decided to switch over to the Crystal series, which is a fantastic case. Not only because of the glass, it has better cable management and needs less space. This was intended to be my 'ultimate build', not caring about the costs. I reused PSU and GPU from my 5820K build.

My hardware:

  • ASUS Crosshair VII Hero X470
  • 16 GB G.Skill Trident Z RGB 4266
  • EVGA 1080 Ti FTW3
  • 500 GB Samsung 960 Evo
  • 1 TB, 500 GB Samsung 850 EVO
  • Corsair Crystal 570X black
  • 7 x Corsair ML 120 RGB, 2 x Corsair ML 140 RGB
  • Corsair H150i
  • ASUS Xonar STX (Beyerdynamic T1 600 Ω)
  • Seasonic Prime Titanium ULTRA 650 W with custom Cablemod sleeved cables
  • Corsair K70 RGB LUX, Logitech G700s
  • Acer XB321HK

I only had problems with this build. Now I RMA the CPU if this doesn't work I'll demand the money back and decide what I do with it. Recently added the push / pull for the H150i, it also helps to create positive pressure which will keep the dust out of it.

I wish it works when I get a replacement, then I can show you how it looks in action. Maybe there should be RGB stripes under my table too.

The fans run at 600 RPM, the pump at 1000 RPM. The main difference to my old H100i is the silence. You only hear it when holding your ear at the case. RGB sync does only work for the Corsair parts.

To-Do list for Corsair:

  • Add RGB sync between ASUS Aura and EVGA / third party brands with ICUE
