Nsia
I bought the Corsair VOID USB headset today, however it doesnt seem to be working. Whenever I plug it in I get like a bleeping sound, the lights go blinking red (like an error message) and I have no sound whatsoever. I've downloaded the drivers on both my desktop and my laptop and I have set the headphones and its mic as my default device. Am I doing something wrong? Isnt USB meant to be plug and play? I hope anyone can help!
ScarredMecha
Make sure CUE is installed, as it includes the necessary drivers for the headset.
Corsair Chris
@Nsia, have you tried the headset on a different system to see if it behaves the same way?
jayt montana
@Nsia, have you tried the headset on a different system to see if it behaves the same way? its exactly as nsia states i wish he would replay so i didnt had to join my self but i jut brought the void usb version when you plug the usb in the lights start flashing the (default flash) and if you have the headphones on your head you can here the headphones turning on and activating but it doesn't seem to work what so ever. any sort of program it wont work, on teamspeak it came up as disabled for both the mic and headphones. i don't understand whats the problem and yes i tried on another system same crap i had the program CUE on my laptop and the second system didn't i'm 100% certain the CUE software not required for the sound to work like the other guy said or she its meant to be a plug in and play product??????????????????????? this was either a waste of time or i should've just gone to more of a reliable company such as razer. Toasted
I would check Device Manager and see if there are any errors listed for the headset or device related to the headset.

LuisLeon
I would love to use this fix, but my headphones don't appear in the playback devices menu, so I cannot set them as default. I have uninstalled/reinstalled CUE several times with the Corsair VOID USB plugged in and not plugged in. Neither of those worked. I can access the device through CUE and change the color settings, I also hear the default beeps in the headphones, but no audio from the computer or any software/game. In my device manager, I have uninstalled/reinstalled all drivers with a yellow ! (AMD audio as well as the specific Corsair VOID USB Headphone drivers) And that did not work either. EDIT: forgot to mention that I did every one of these processes using every single USB port on my computer (front and back) for a total of 6 attempts. Short of returning them, what should I do? Windows 7 64 bit.
Toasted
Replug the headphones in and when it shows up in device manager with a warning icon, right click it and click properties. Copy+paste the status message here. If it is related to Windows unable to verify the digital signature, you can disable driver signature enforcement when booting into Windows, which should resolve the issue.
