CptDobey
Hello, I have 2GB of TWIN3X2048-1333C9 (9-9-9-24-2T) installed on my GA-X48T-DQ6. I recently purchased this Gigabyte mother board and I am a little bit confused by some of the names given to Ram settings. I am used to the ASUS names and I am unable to determine which is which. I checked both docs (from Gigabyte MB and ASUS MB) but I'm still unable to figure it out. I write down the settings I have is my Asus bios, and I don't see these values if I let the Gigabyte settings to "auto". Here are the Gigabyte's settings: ACT to ACT Delay (tRRD) Rank Write to READ delay Write to Precharge Delay Refresh to ACT Delay Read to Precharge Delay Static tRead Value Static tRead Phase Adjust Here are the Asus' settings: RAS# Active Time RAS# to RAS# Delay ROW Refreh Cycle Time Write Recovery Time Read to Precharge Time Read to Write Delays (S/D) Write to Read Delays (S) Write to Read Delays (D) Read to Read Delays (S) Read to Read Delays (D) Write to Write Delays (S) Write to Write Delaus (D) I do suppose "S" means "single" and "D" "Dual" as in "Dual Channel". But the Asus's doc doesn't help once again. Can you tell me what Asus setting corresponds to what Gigabyte setting ? The contrary will be as good ;) Another solution is to know what settings to use. Can I let the Gigabyte settings to auto even if the values don't match the ones displayed by the Asus bios ? Or do I have to set them to certain values ? Thanks in advance for your help. DerekT
Don't use one motherboard's settings against another boards settings. Too often the boards do not make use of the same optimizations or setting characteristics. What make of Gigabyte board do you have?

DerekT
;): ^^^^^^ LOL - Doh! These are comparisons, but really it is not useful. Just research the Gigabyte settings and make yourself familiar with them rather than trying to find corresponding comparisons which will be confusing at best. ACT to ACT Delay = tRRD = RAS# to RAS# Delay Bank Write to READ Delay = tWTR = Rank Write to READ delay Write to Precharge Delay = tWR= Write Recovery Time Refresh to ACT Delay = tRFC = Row Refresh Cycle Time Read to Precharge Delay = tRTP = Read to Precharge Time Static tRead Value = tRD = tRD = A Read Delay = Static Read Control Static tRead Phase Adjust = tRD = A Read Delay Phase Adjusts Both of the last two settings compare to the performance settings in ASUS. Static Read Control and AI Clock Twister.
