Alcasczar
So I watched some videos on leveraging the Vertical GPU mount and a riser but a bunch of folks say its not a good idea. The only thing I can think of why is a heat concern, what is the best application/reason to mount your GPU this way? case specific?
tdk
I've been using the Cable Mod vertical mount bracket for almost a week now and see no big changes in temperature. As long as you have good air flow in the case I don't see why it's a bad idea.
andrewmp6
Depends the case and card,If its build in to the case like some have,A blower card can be ok but a open card aka 2 or more fans will heat stroke. Now if you water cool then it won't matter like that. The add on kits like coolermaster and cable mods pushes the card back away from the glass so it has room for air.
