flexnix
So I recently had to RMA my Asus Sabertooth Z77 board because it wouldn't power on. I got the new board and now it shows a Red CPU LED. I'm certain it's the processor after testing it already. I plan to RMA my Intel I7 3770K, but while I was removing it I noticed that one of the hoses near the block on my H100i was super hot. Does a faulty Intel processor still continue to create heat even after its faulty. The hose got very hot quickly. Had the PC running maybe 1 minute. I can't check the RPM on the H100i since I can't post into the BIOS yet, but it should be reading around 2000-2200RPM right?
wytnyt
Id suggest taking one step at a time,,get the CPU replaced and go from there as anything can get hot enough if enough heat is applied and no way to tell if the CPU caused excessive heat... its quite rare for a m/b and CPU and hydro all to be defective..
