Feiticera
Hi, I recently decided to upgrade my memory from the 512mb i had. I bought myself 2 sticks of the XMS3200 512mb 400mhz memory. (product no. CMX512-3200C2PT) Both sticks work on their own in any of the slots, but as soon as i put them both in, my computer wont start and I get the bad RAM warning beepthingy. Ive tried disconnecting anything that might be draining too much power, in case that was the problem. Any ideas what is going wrong? Owen

Owen Are your memory sticks of different revisions? (Like, one stick is of v4.1 and the second of v5.2?) You see, modern systems don't like modules that are mixed in any way at all whatsoever - not even revision number.
Feiticera
Ah this could be it, one of them is XMS3202v5.1 the other is XMS 3202v1.5...

You'll never know what you'll get if you bought the two sticks in separate packages - especially if you ordered them online. The best choice for your platform is a TwinX1024 kit.
