gordongekko Posted February 10, 2014 Share Posted February 10, 2014 Hi all, Thanks in advance for the help. I have this Reactor series R60. I started getting Windows error status message 0x00000e. I Googled how to solve this, tried some suggestions, and nothing worked. I finally reinstalled my Windows installation with Acronis, and within a few days, the same error message was appearing. I have tried Parted Magic to wipe the drive and Gparted, Acronis, and Windows 7 to try and format the drive. The drive was not recognized by GParted when connected via USB, and Parted Magic was also unsuccessful. Windows built in format tool just got stuck. Any advice to save this drive? I have everything backed up, I just don't want to chuck the drive. I am trying to do this via a Windows 7 Pro 64-bit machine, Intel 2600K. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Toasted Posted February 10, 2014 Share Posted February 10, 2014 Plug the drive into the computer via SATA data and power cables instead of USB and try secure erasing it. Have you tried a different SATA data cable and motherboard port? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
