bitwize Posted January 9, 2014 Share Posted January 9, 2014 I realized this question has been beaten to death by people here, but I see a lot of people discussing the updating of Force 3 drives using a Field Updater Tool, but I can't find this program anywhere! My SSD is currently at version 1.3.2, and it shows that a new firmware 5.0.5 *is* available using the Corsair SSD Toolbox, but I also read a thread earlier that stated that it needs to be manually updated *first* before I can use the Toolbox. So basically my question is: Where would I find said tool? Or is it safe to just use the Toolbox? On a side note: The SSD is my main OS drive. Would it be safe to attempt the firmware installation on the same drive, or could this be catastrophic? I realize it's recommended to do it on a separate system.
