satesco
Hi to all :), I'm here to find out what problems{if any} with my SSD Corsair CSSD-F60GB2-A{60 GB}.I bought three months ago specifically to install Windows 7.I checked it than,at the begining, and my Windows 7 shows 7.3 at performance.I was delighted that I have seen this performance, and my computer with Windows 7 64 bit work very fast.Unfortunately with the time I saw that gradually, gradually my PC turned on and shut slowly/hard.I checked to see now the performance of my system and my pc rate is 6.9 because of SSD Corsair!?! But this is not so important to me now that I have a lower performance rate, but that computer is moving slowly and not just when it starts but when it stopped.I thought that maybe it is a virus in my pc, but McAfee does its job.But I'm very intrigue that SSD also working slowly. I ask myself how SSD Corsair in the three months to degrade so quickly? And I thought, as a solution, try reinstalling a fresh Windows 7 and clean all residues accumulated in SSD during three months I used it. Actually I do not know what solution is best? It's SSD to blame for the system is going hard? For this reason I address SSD Corsair connoisseurs to give the solution to the problem raised by me.I can not believe that SSD is going to destroy so quickly. Accept any good advice and sincerely appreciate any help. Thanks in advance :)

satesco
Hi Synthohol, Thank you for your quickly answer.I hope benchmarks with my Corsair to be quite conclusive to give you an accurate diagnosis.Maybe it's not as bad as it seems: http://img4.hostingpics.net/pics/72808Benchmark_SSD_Corsair_10.06.2011.png http://img4.hostingpics.net/pics/113831Random_Acces_10.06.2011.png http://img4.hostingpics.net/pics/337076File_Benchmark_10.06.2011.png thanks for your kindness. Synthohol
looks pretty damn good to me especially if its your OS drive :): now you may get some minimal improvement with different drivers or AHCI mode but like i have said in the past, if it aint broke...dont fix it :)
satesco
now you may get some minimal improvement with different drivers or AHCI mode... Your response is encouraging :biggrin:And yet I ask myself why SSD dropped in performance after only three months of use? What you mean:"minimal improvement with different drivers?"Are there drivers for this SSD?Can you be a little more explicit? Thanks. BTW,I want to know if I can go to AHCI mode but only on SSD and not the other drivers / harddisks? If I switch to AHCI in Bios all drivers are working and do not want that, only on SSD I want AHCI.On a harddrive I installed Windows XP.I have two operating system and that's why I have multiboot. On the other hand I would ask you to tell me what is the best utility to completely clean my SSD if I want to reinstall Windows 7, but without destroying the quality of SSD? Thank you very much again!

satesco
Hi Yellowbeard, As you can see SSD used space: 34.8 GB and free: 20.9 GB.This SSD is use only for Windows 7 64 bit. http://www.hostingpics.org/thumbs/mini_717188Free_Space_on_SSD_Drive_.png Actually I want to reinstall fresh Windows 7 64 bit and I want SSD Corsair to return as it was originally. I have a question, maybe you can you help me:can I activate AHCI only to SSD and the rest three HDD{on one I have XP installed} I have to remain as before? Thank you in advance :): Hi Synthohol,Thank you for turned me on the right topic :):
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted June 13, 2011 Corsair Employee Share Posted June 13, 2011 All Bios I have seen only allow you to choose one configuration mode. To restore your SSD do a secure erase to the drive, I would suggest parted magic.

Thank you so much for the advice you gave me.I think that I will do exactly as you say. And small request:do I follow the tutorial "Restoring SSD performance and imaging Disk" signed by @ewarwoowar from sticky although my SSD is bought this year? adi1488
I've seen the same thing when I installed Windows 7 on my RAID 0 F60s. With a clean install I had a rating of 7.9 and after I did a bunch of Windows updates it went down to 7.4. The next day I reinstalled Windows and got 7.9 again up until I did those updates and it went back down. During this whole process I was getting the same ATTO scores. I guess at some point Microsoft decided to raise the bar for what constitutes a 7.9 in HDs so there's nothing to worry about.

My expression is that "WEI is worse than worthless". Yours is a perfect example of where some ambiguous numbers cause undue worry on the part of a customer causing you to waste time and energy trying to diagnose what happened. My advice is always to avoid WEI completely. ::pirate::
satesco
I got an improvement of the SSD's after I clean it with Gparted and put it in AHCI,as can be seen in pic.: http://img4.hostingpics.net/pics/772491AfterWindows7AHCIchange25062011.png But now I want to know if his temperature taken with System Mechanics Tool is good? http://img4.hostingpics.net/pics/160760TemperatureofSSD.png It is a question mark{a warning!} at the temperature {29 degrees} and do not know if I should worry or not? What does mean "Unnamed Attribute-Failure"? Thanks :)
