Extending the extension?? LED lighting

Hey everyone,

I’m about to purchase a new case along with the Corsair lightning node with the led strips. I’m also wanting to put LED strips under the left and right side of my desk (ekbacken/Alex desk combo with bqlzr feet so there’s a space between the desk and the drawers). The idea is to buy the extra LED strips and run them externally, 1 either side of the desk and 2 on the back of the monitor. But have them still connected to the node module which will be inside my pc case.

The extra led kit comes with extension cables, but they won’t be nearly long enough to run from inside the case to outside and around the desk. Am I able to just cut the extensions and solder in extra 9v wire to the desired length? Or is there some alternative cable I can buy?
