nicoulaj
I just bought a H115i. On Windows, Corsair link is working, and temps are fine (under load and idle). But my primary OS is Linux (up to date Arch Linux 64 bits, kernel 4.6.4), and the fans always stay at the minimum speed (from sound only, I can't find a way to monitor the RPM). When stressing the CPU ("stress -c 8"), the temp goes straight away to 83°C, while the fans stay at minimum speed. So my question is: - Is it supposed to work properly under Linux ? - As a workaround, is it OK to plug the fans directly on the mobo CPU_FAN slot ? Toasted
-The inbuilt fan controller should be controlling the fan speed based off the coolant temperature. Though i'm not sure if there are any differences between the older coolers and the newer ones. - Yes, you can connect the fans to the motherboard and adjust the speed from the motherboard instead.
