oracrest
I recently got two corsair 512 DDR 400mhz Ram chips for my computer, and installed them. Under system, it said it read memory at a gig, so i think i put them in correctly. the problem I have is when I am running programs. I noticed that photoshop will occasionaly generate errors that it never used to, and the 3d modelling package that I am using will shut down the instant i try to rotate a model. It only happens when I have the the new chips in, not when I have my older 512 DDR 266 in. Also, during the boot up, it read that system memory was at 333 mhz, but the chips are 400. This is my first time actually upgrading my computer myself, so bear with me. Do you have any idea why these things are happening? if it helps, this is the case and motherboard i have http://us.shuttle.com/specs_access.asp?pro_id=284 thanks a bunch
