noquarter76
I am piecing together parts for a new build. I am new to the rgb world so I had a few questions. Here are the specs Case: Corsair Crystal 570 rgb MB: Asus ROG Strix Gaming z370 Chip: 8700k Cooling: Corsair 115i GPU: eVGA GTX 1080 ti FTW3 PSU: Seasonic 750 focus platinum Few questions. Do I need a commander pro to control the fans in the corsair case? I plan on getting one more corsair fan for the back. Do you see any issues with the Corsair 115i? It is not listed as supported by Corsair on the Crystal site. Thanks
DevBiker
The 570 doesn't look like it supports a 280mm radiator. You don't need a Commander Pro. However, you'll need to use your BIOS or motherboard software to control the fan speeds; you won't be able to do it in Link or iCue.
Zotty
The 570 doesn't look like it supports a 280mm radiator. will fit in the front.. many have tried and failed for the top....
noquarter76
Well... thats disappointing. Glad I asked. Anyone have any recomendations on a 3 fan front rgb case that will mount a 280 on top? Do i really need to go full tower for that?
Zotty
if you havnt bought the cooler yet.. why not look at the H150i pro? fits the front of the 570x perfect :)
noquarter76
I already bought the cooler. Was a good deal on prime day. I dont like front mounts. Pushes to much warm air i to the chassis. Your build looks amazing though Think im am going to go with an Anidees crystal cube and just replace the fans with corsair fans
c-attack
The Corsair Carbide 540, 740, and Graphite 780T can all do 280mm rad top exhaust with 3x120mm front. I am definitely partial to cubes and the 540 and 740 are in that family. The really large Obsidian cases can as well, but that is really not the same category.
