I'm new to the forum and my question is regarding upgrading my system (HPE-541f with 8gb of ram) with new DDR3 memory for total of 16gb. My plan is to remove my old memory (4x2gb) and buy 12gb (3x4GB) of "Corsair Xms3 12 GB 3 X 4 GB 1333Mhz PC3-10666 240-Pin DDR3" (CMX12GX3M3A1333C9) and also add 4gb of "Corsair XMS3 4 GB 1333MHz PC3-10666 240-Pin DDR3" (CMX4GX3M1A1333C9). Can I combine memory kits like this to get 16gb? Currently I have 8gb (4x2gb) of ram on my system, running Windows 7 Home premium 64bit. Thanks!
