Default K65 Won't Light Up If I Move Headphone Connector

I usually plug my SteelSeries Arctis Pro into the front panel I/O on my case, however after doing some peripheral cable tidying I've decided that I want to run it from the rear motherboard I/O. When I plug the USB headset connector in the back, however, the lighting on my K65 keyboard freezes before shutting off. Any ideas on how I could get it to work coming off the rear I/O? Thanks in advance.

I would install the latest chipset and USB drivers for your motherboard. It could be an issue on how it's outputting power to the USB ports.

Sorry, but this doesn't appear to fix the issue
