Macros not activating Lighting Effects

Hello all,

After many reinstalls, firmware update attempts, and such, I have been able to get macros to activate any form of lighting effect. I have been trying to get the following preset to work for over an hour and have even tried making a preset of my own simply trying to get a ripple to activate when pressing the q key.

I am using a Corsair Strafe RGB and CUE 2.7.78. Thanks in advance for the help.
