The forum is not tech support. And they cant fix it if you dont provide any info other then its not working.

Have yall checked for bios, chipset updates. Have you tried a different USB port. Have you tried doing a clean install of windows.

Hi guys.

I've been using my Scimitar without any problem for over 1 month. However for 2 days I'm having middle click problem. When i click, It's not responding. I have to click like 20 times for that. I'm using win 10 pro. And all updates are done on software.

Have you done any Windows 10 updates lately?

Try running again the CUE installer and choose the repair option, then restart. Does it help?

Glad it worked

Windows 10 unfortunately removes some files/drivers after installing updates through Windows Update, and some CUE files are part of it unfortunately. Corsair is still looking into why this happens.

Hi guys again.

Okay last time I've fixed the problem but I have the same problem now.The thing is, It's completely random. Yesterday I didn't have any problem until night. At night my middle click completely stop working. And today 30 mins ago I didn't have any problem again. But now middle click is completely dead. I don't know what's going on with this mouse ;D

Edit: Here we go. It's working again and I haven't done anything to fix it. I don't understand this :D It's probably the best MMO mouse I've ever used but this problem is really annoying...

I found the reason why my side buttons is unresponsive after each reboot:
when damn Viber is in autostart it prevent Corsair Composite Virtual Input Deivces driver to load, after i shutdown Viber i can hear how new device is found and side buttons is start to work lol, then i can launch Viber and everything work fine at that point.
Maybe there is also other programms that can prevent driver to load and that's why ppls have this issue.

Goddamn it. I also have viber autostarting and had the side buttons issue, but now I have already sent it back and can't try if disabling viber fixes it. But even before you found out about the viber thing, the mouse was recognised from CUE and left, right, middle clicks worked, right?

If anyone has this issue constantly happening, the more information you can provide the better. Id like to know the following:

1.) OS (and whether you have all of the latest updates) Windows 10 Version 1511 (OS Build 10586.218)
2.) Is the Corsair Virtual Input Driver working properly under Device Manager? Everything is in working order
3.) Are you on latest FW and SW versions? FW = 2.03 SW = 1.16.42

Until we can replicate it fully, it'll be hard to diagnose and. resolve the issue so any additional information will help.
So I too have found myself in this scenario and would like to add in some details I've also found and how I fix it when it occurs.

Problem: All buttons except the left, middle, and right buttons stop working.

Discovery: This only seems to intermittently happen after I put my computer into sleep mode. Upon waking it up and go to play the forever addictive World of Warcraft, is when I notice they stop working.

Solution: Restarting my system has worked every time.

Failed solutions: Unplugging and plugging the mouse back in the USB 3.0 Port. Restarting CUE. Switching the polling rates to cause the mouse to re initiate within CUE

Things I haven't tried yet: Using a USB 2.0 Port. Finding out which USB Device the mouse is using and disabling it within device manager and then re enabling it. Uninstalling and reinstalling CUE. Find out if the error still occurs upon complete shutdown.

*note* With a program called USB View, I was able to detect which USB port in device manager my Scimitar was utilizing and in return uninstalled it. This removed the whole USB port which my K70 and Scimitar is connected to. My system recognized the USB port and devices again immediately and reinstalled the drivers. However, to no avail, the mouse's keypad/forward/back buttons still remain unresponsive.

*edit* As stated before, I have restarted my computer once again and gained positive results. Mouse is in working order.

*note* Additional information that may help. I shutdown my system last night and was off from 10pm to 5pm the next day. I for whatever reason, clicked my mouse while the system was off and it started flickering all the lights on and off as shown in the clip below. To me this means the mouse is not powering down all the way. Upon turning my system back on the flickering stopped and my profile loaded, but the keypad, back, and forward buttons, were not working. However, I shut the system back down, clicked to see if the flickering would happen again, which it did. This time, when powering the system back on, the buttons worked once again. I did this about 2 more times to see if it was a fluke, but the buttons remained working even with the flickering happening during shutdown.

I can't edit my original post, but this just happened again so I figured I'd throw in my log and hope someone from corsair sees it.

The log will help us find the root cause of the issue. I just want to reassure everyone that we have been looking into this, but there is no updates yet.

I'm seeing the same problems here, with the side buttons intermittently going offline. My trouble-shooting procedure has been very similar to Atarox's, with identical results.

So I am having the side button issue started right after a win 10 auto update today.

I have tried the repair solution and no result. I have looked through device manager and cannot find anything corsair specific in any of the lists. its very frustrating and i am sure more windows related than corsair but it means my mouse can't be used for the purpose I bought it.

1.) OS (and whether you have all of the latest updates) Windows 10 updated today.
2.) Is the Corsair Virtual Input Driver working properly under Device Manager? cant see it anywhere in there
3.) Are you on latest FW and SW versions? yes included a fw force just to be sure.
