Question 3 Slots or Dual Channel?

Anyone know if it's a good idea to occupy 3 memory slots or keep it in Dual Channel? Until I get the extra Ram? had to send one back since one was faulty so have 3 now.

This is with Corsair? Or a vendor? That really shouldn't happen. However, I think in the meantime run a quick memory read/write/copy test from AIDA or wherever and see how it turns out (3 vs 2). I would think the 3 and 8GB is cutting it a bit close these days for greedy applications.

Hey nfxcr3w,

I'd recommend talking to the retailer and see if you can get the kit replaced as a set. We replace memory kits as a kit to ensure compatibility between the modules.
