Hi, I'm relatively new to this stuff and was just trying to find out some information on what ram I should buy, and what things I should change in BIOS.

I have an:

Asus A7N8X2.0 Deluxe Motherboard

AMD Athlon Barton XP 2800+

2.09Ghz

128mb Radeon 9800

BIOS: Phoenix Technologies, LTD ASUS A7N8X2.0 Deluxe ACPI BIOS Rev 1006

512 MB of Ram - 1x Corsair CMX512-3200LL DDR400

Here is my current Bios settings:

Advanced Chipset features

CPU Freq. Multiple setting----auto

X Cpu freq. multiple----------12.5x

System perfomance---------Aggressive

X Cpu Interface-------------Aggressive

X SDRAM ras to cas delay----------2

X SDRam ras precharge delay-------2

X SDRam CAS latency--------------2T

FSB spread spectrum-------------Disabled

AGP spread spectrum--------------Disabled

Cpu V core setting----------------Auto

X Cpu V core-------------------1.650v

Graphics aperature size----------128mb

AGP freq-------------------------auto

(The current BIOS Settings were altered due to trying to run the 1 ram stick under optimum settings... for some reason i couldnt load up anything so i had to reset the cmos and revert back to default settings.. I forgot what my original settings were so I tryed my best to remember) - Its weird, why would optimum settings make nothing load?

Anyway...The question is, what ram should I buy? and what should my new BIOS settings be? (btw I want to upg to 1gig of ram)

I probably havnt included all the info needed, but if you could correct me, I'll fix it up in my next post. Thanks.
