LeSnakk
Hello, I am thinking about an upgrade of my RAM and I am looking at the black Vengeance RGB Pro 300MHz (2x8GB). Will it run on my MSI Z170A Gaming Pro Carbon with an i7 6700K?
PJH
Hey, hey! Shouldn't be an issue, as the compatibility on the Corsair website states: Intel 100 Series, Intel 200 Series, Intel 300 Series, Intel X299, AMD 300 Series, AMD 400 Series. Popped 32gb onto my z270e board and had zero issues. Although, I have read that iCUE takes control of the ram and doesn't return it back to the mobo's rgb software. Will have to hunt that post down if you'd like more information, as I can't recall if it was here or on reddit. :|
Corsair Employee Corsair Rick Posted July 10, 2018 Corsair Employee Share Posted July 10, 2018 Hey LeSnakk, I assume you meant the 3000mhz memory? If so, I don't believe there should be any issue with that kit in your board.
