DenVan
Hi ! I have a K95 RGB Keyboard, an d I'm very happy with it. The only thing that worry me, it's about playing Macro. I have an Azerty Layout, Windows is configured with Azerty layout too (French) The Corsair Utility program is also in Azerty mode, both Layout and language. Also, the Corsair utility software and Keyboard firmware are up to date Use Case : Go Corsair Utility, create Macro Start record Type 'azerty' Close record -> In the utility, got the good characters 'a', 'z', 'e' ... Associate the Macro wih a 'G' key Go Notepad Type the G key In notepad, I have 'qwerty' instead of 'azerty' Seems it looks like http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=134192 Please, What can I do to get my K95 macro's out with the good layout ? Toasted
Sounds like a software issue or a configuration issue. "Reset" the software to defaults and try the macro again. To reset, delete all the files and folders found in the appdata folder. AppData\Roaming\Corsair\HID Using the on-board MR button try to record the same macro. Does it still output qwerty? To use the MR button on-board. 1. Press the MR button, the ring around it will flash. 2. Press a G-key 3. Press axerty 4. Press the MR button again, ring around it will stop flashing. 5. Test the recorded macro.
DenVan
Thanks for your answer I have reset the CUE, like you said, removing the HID directory. I restart CUE after that, and test recording macro with 'MR' button --> still have the same issue. I found a Workaround, but it's a bit annoying. In CUE, just before recording the macro, I turn Windows in Qwerty mode. -> record the macro as before, the characters are - as expected - 'q', 'w', 'e', ... Stop the record, turn Windows in Azerty mode Associate Macro with 'G' key Playing the macro ... Tadaaaaa ! 'azerty' comes out ! Hope it helps someone to debug and make it work properly
DenVan
I have to precise that with my Workaround mentionned above, specials chars (like é,è,@,/ ...) work perfectly
PEagle
Merci DenVan, j'ai le même souci que toi ;) Thanks, I'm gonna try it, and report if I find any more issues :)
fabienlaloutre
Hi, i have the same problem here. the workaround can be useful but you have to actualy know the qwerty layout to find all the special char and puntuation which can be a pain in the neck. Can we have an official response because right now im kinda pissed to have my macro buttons not working as intended on a high end keyboard. Corsair Employee Corsair James Posted February 10, 2015 Corsair Employee Share Posted February 10, 2015 This is being investigated - I should know in a few days if it'll be fixed in time for our next update.
EmersonX
When will this big bug be corrected? What do You think? Now it´s been seven months ago since this bug was reported first time. I have reported this bug in February in the German section, too. And what has happened since then? Nothing... This is very annoying
Corsair Employee Corsair James Posted June 17, 2015 Corsair Employee Share Posted June 17, 2015 So the root cause of the problem is much deeper. Without going into the specifics, it has to do with how Windows record inputs from the keyboard through the software. Unfortunately this means that this problem will require a complete overhaul to the macro recording section of CUE. We are already working on it but because of the work required to implement the fix, this is going to take some time (maybe in the next 2-3 updates).
