KaffeeFilter
Hello community! I just plugged my good ol' "Flash Survivor 32GB USB 3.0" into the USB-Passthrough of my new K70 LUX and got the “this device can perform faster” message. The USB-plug with the keyboard was pluged to a USB 2.0 port and the one with the arrows on it was plugged to a USB 3.0. So I plugged both in 3.0 ports but I still get the message. Doesn't the passthrough support USB 3.0? That would be pretty disappointing... Greets from Germany!
terabyte
No, it doesn't matter which port you plug the cable in. The pass-through is only 2.0.
KaffeeFilter
The pass-through is only 2.0. They should add this to the tech specs and the manual... Only information is "Requirements: PC with 2 USB 2.0 ports" That doesn't clarify it doesn't support USB 3.0. It also should be called "USB 2.0 Port" then and not "USB-Passthrough". If something is "passed through" there shouldn't be a difference between input and output...
