Can't load modes

Recommended Posts

I received the K70 LUX RGB this morning and have run into a problem. After downloading a few profiles from the Corsair site I found out that, after importing the profiles, the modes do not show up in CUE.

Selecting any of the profiles just turns the lights off, apart from one (Matrix) which loads a spiral rainbow.

The newest firmware and version of CUE are installed.

I have tried to reinstall CUE and rebooted a few times as well, nothing has seemed to help so far.

Any help would be appreciated.

Are you sure the profiles you are importing are supposed to have modes?

Can you link the profile(s) you are trying to import? And possibly also a screenshot of what you see in CUE after the import is done.

I don't know about the first three profiles but the last is supposed to have 36.

EDIT: I just noticed that under the Lighting tab in CUE the modes do show up, but not under Profiles.

Just to be clear, the following things have not resolved this issue:

Re-importing the profile

Uninstalling and reinstalling CUE

I can make my own profiles and save them and all kinds of neat stuff, but can't make any of the hard work of others appear on my keyboard.

Someone? Anyone? :(:

I had the same problem. Here is what you do:

1.Have WordPad out in your desktop (it just makes thing easier when you need to open up your desired profiles.

2. Download your profile, and drag it also onto the desktop

3. Open WordPad, and click File>Open>(Makesure you have it to all documents on the side>Then to desktop (you should see your downloaded profile there), and open it.

4.Scroll down through the profiles coding until you see the line that says "model.."

5.Change whatever model that profile was made for to "K70 LUX RGB". For example, if the profile was originally made and typed out for for the "K70 RGB", you must simply add the "LUX" part of it into the name. For whatever reason, the profile needs this to work properly.

6. Then save the changes (I usually press Ctrl+S to save it)

7. Download the profile again and it should be working.

Now at first this did not work, but after a day it started to. God knows why, but it did. If it persists on not working for you there is a Profile Converter that does this automatically and can be downloaded off of the forums somewhere, i would post a link but i forget where i found it (i think on the CUE forums, not sure).

Hope this helps
