Default Vengeance 2000 - Mic is looped back to speakers?

Yes, the 'listen' option under Microphone properties is turned off but I can still hear myself talking. It's even more obvious if I scratch the mic. It's also not just the sound traveling up the mic boom directly, I can hear it trough both speakers equally.

Any idea's?

What program are you using and how loud is the loopback? Have you also confirmed if this is an issue on a different machine? Finally, are you using the Windows drivers or the Corsair Drivers (and used both to see if it happens consistently?)

It's not all that loud, I can only hear it when for example I sigh while the microphone boom is lowered. It's much louder if I turn on the listen option in windows, then I can hear pretty much every sound in the room.

Just tried it on another machine by quickly plugging in the transmitter, the problem shows up again the moment windows finished configuring it's generic drivers. After installing the corsair software the problem still exists.

I don't know what you mean by program, this loopback is on all the time unless I turn off the headset itself by holding down the left earcup button or if I unplug the transmitter.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that changing the volume doesn't change the volume of the loopback.

With all wireless head sets the Loop back in always on and moving the Boom up will turn off the MIC.

Why is this a 'feature' of wireless headsets..?

Due to how wireless headsets transmit and receive audio, there will always be a very slight amount of loopback. When I was referring to program earlier, I wanted to know what you software you used to speak with, and whether it was a setting in the program.
