looking at the problems i see here and elsewhere,you cant have multiple software programs controlling settings for fans,ect..
you may want to uninstall them [aisuite/other controllers] before tuning your link

If your Cooling node will not update please try and disconnect the Corsair Link from the USB On the MB (With then system off) and leave it off for about 20 Min then connect the Corsair Link to the MB USB and retry the update.

If it still fails please uninstall the software and shut down the system and disconnect the USB for the Corsair Link If you have one of our cooler please disconnect the interconnect and make sure the fans for the cooler are attached to the cooler or MB for the specific Cooler you have.
Then turn the system on to clear out the registry. When you connect the Corsair Link do it hot and use another USB Port, install the latest version of the software and make sure it see's the Cooling node. And please try the F/W update again with only the cooling node connected to Corsair Link.

If that still fails then please use the link on the left and request an RMA and explain that you cannot update the cooling node and we can replace it.

nothing to do :-( I tried what you told me, but it does not work. I removed the second node cooling, the h100, I changed the USB port, finally i tried to update the firmware of the first cooling node "unidentified node " but does not work, always the same error at the beginning. The problem is not the rma, I have a second node with firmware 1.1.19 but im afraid for update this one now ... Is mean the firmware is corrupted now , any idea why some user have this problem?

Well this is my first problem with the beta, nothing has changed since to beta was installed and worked, but just now I opened it up because I was going to encode a video, and received the message failed to load profile because root element is missing. H100 no longer shows rpm or even that its attached. I closed the program and restarted it with no luck. Once my encode I will reboot the computer and see if that helps.

Ram guy or someone else have any idea why some people have the same error when flashing the cooling node? May be a conflict with hardware,software, overclocked cpu or other...

Hi,

same problem here. After trying to update, now the Cooling node appears as "unidentified node". I have tried all solutions from Ram Guy, but nothing. Have tried to downgrade to 1.2.5 again (with everything unplugged from the MB), but still the cooling node is "unidentified node" =(. Any clue?

Hi RAM GUY,

When I tried to update my cooling node to 1.2.5 I received an error message;

Status: Error Writing 0xC800 to 0xC83F

I've tried all the steps you suggested to correct this, but they did not work :(

I also tried;
Pluging the cooling node into each channel in turn, and trying the same steps as above.
Trying each of my USB ports as described by RAM GUY (but I did not try all channel on each port).

Link Software: 1.2.7
The reason I updated my firmware is that I noticed the Link software would loose custom fan profiles. The would come up all '0'. Software 1.2.5 worked fine.

Me too

When I tried to update my cooling node to 1.2.5 I received an error message;
Status: Error Writing 0xC800 to 0xC83F
I've tried all the steps you suggested to correct this, but they did not work :(

And now, what do I do?
I was not super happy with my investment (profile not running), but now there is nothing that works!

I said "well done"!

Can we go back? Whether or find the firmware?

Oh how I wish I had read this entire thread before I tried to update the firmware to my cooling module! I would never have tried it. Now I have a bricked cooling unit that just runs at 100% and none of the sensors are working. I can see that no progress has been made in MONTHS. That does not bode well. So what are we to do? RMA? The only reason I was desperate enough to try this upgrade was because my profile management has not worked from day one! Every single day I have to manually re-create my profile, and now this. To say I am unhappy is a gross understatement.
It's sad because I love this product! IT IS JUST SO FRUSTRATING THAT IT....DOES....NOT....WORK!!!!

Yes the only way would be to RMA it. But if you want, you can try reflashing the Cooling Node firmware.

Not sure why I did it, flashed the cooling node to 1.2.5.s19 and now all my fans are making weird noises. Any way to get the stock firmware back?

You'll need to RMA the Cooling Node to get it back to stock firmware.
