I ran across an interesting site,
PENDRIVELINUX.COM in my quest for a better tool to create a bootable USB flash drive. The administrator there turned out to be a clever and generous fellow and developed this tool for us. I'll be attaching a much more in depth how-to guide very soon. This tool is exceptionally flexible as it uses 100% open source software and the functionality is easily modified by the end user.
The default version of the tool offers the option to run Memtest or boot to a DOS prompt. These are the 2 most common tools we advise users to employ so we've included them.
The tool is posted in a .zip format. Please let us know if you have any issues with the tool or the download itself.
Please use this thread ONLY for reporting issues with the tool, if there are any. All off topic posts will be deleted. I have not found any in testing yet but we'd like to hear from you if you find a bug.
NOTE: This tool will not work on a drive that is formatted NTFS. The best option is to allow the tool to format your drive.
