Default Survivor Problem

I have a 32 GB Survivor which was replaced under warranty a few months ago. The replacement has been fine since then, until recently it started acting up. When copying files to the Survivor or from the Survivor, the drive suddenly becomes "read only" (as shown in Disk Manager) and the file transfers stop with an error that the drive is "write protected." Removing the drive from the PC and then re-inserting it will resolve the issue for a short while, but then shortly after file transfer resumes, it does the same thing again. Should this drive be RMA'd?

Thank you.

Have you tried formatting the drive?

I did a quick format (NTFS) then tried to copy 1298 files (8.07 GB) to the drive. After copying 632 files, the copying stopped with the message "The disk is write protected."

Let's get it replaced, please use the On Line RMA Request Form and we will be happy to replace it.
