are you referring to the Overkill crosshair fan grill in the bottom of the case?

silver coil.

when you use distilled water you put the silver coil into your res and it keep's all the bad stuff away and kills what ever is in the water.

Or you could use a few drops of biocide something like Petra's PT Nuke, either will work, all in the efforts of keeping your loop nice and clean.

I'm planning the following for my rig:

New Corsair 800D case.

Dual Loop: Loop 1 (CPU)
EK Supreme HF Full Nickel CPU Block
XSPC RX360 radiator
Swiftech MCP355 pump
Dual Split Bay Reservoir
Bitspower Compression Fittings
½" ID Tubing

Dual Loop: Loop 2 (VGA)
2 x EK-FC5870 Acetal+Nickel
XSPC RX240 radiator
XSPC RX120 radiator
Swiftech MCP355 pump
Dual Split Bay Reservoir
Bitspower Compression Fittings
½" ID Tubing

Can't wait to get it started

Ya the silver coils work great, I should have bought one when I 1st built this loop.

PT Nuke is a waste of money if you work on your loop and change stuff as much as me :P

2 loops is pointless (overkill) for 5870s btw

Nice build, but I can't help but wonder why did you get the Bitspower GPU blocks??

They are MORE expensive and perform considerably WORSE than the cheaper EK, Koolance and XSPC Waterblocks.

Also I realize that that review is for the GTX 480 however GPU blocks all have a similar design and if you check out other reviews you will find that all of a particular manufacture's blocks perform similarly.

Thanks.

Cheaper, yes maybe new, I paid $100 shipped for 2 blocks and the the fittings, fittings alone are about $50

People keep saying this to but I have had amazing results with these blocks

My cards are @ 1060/1260 and the temps NEVER get over 60c, I am sure I can get that number down with the new rads.

(PS you really going to start this here as well as OCN?????)(I know the blocks are not the greatest blocks in the world but I couldn't pass up the deal and they are doing more than I ever thought)

Nice deal!

You're correct new they are $150 each (+shipping)

With a CPU at 4.4 GHz/1.4v and a single 5870 on a 360 radiator I got 38C under Furmark load at 1000 core on my 5870 and EK block.
