Default upgrade

Hello , I have a 120GB Corsair 3 series and i want to install the win xp pro in the Disk. When i put the installation disk of win xp pro in my laptop and during the drivers in the installation it stops ,and it write that the system does not regognise any disk and press F3 to finish the intallation.
What i must to do to read my system this SSD Disk and install them the windows? It needs to install something first when the system say if i have something to install press F6 for RAID or SCSi ?
My Laptop is HP Compaq nc6320 with Windows XP pro 32bit

Thanks

IIRC, XP does not have the proper SATA drivers for a lot of newer MOBOs / chipsets. One suggestion I have seen is to use Nlite to create a slipstream disk and slipstream the proper SATA drivers into the it.

Using Windows 7 is a MUCH better option and the most simple option for best performance and compatibility with SSDs.

You might need to change your SATA settings in BIOS to IDE again, from AHCI. XP doesn't understand the AHCI drivers normally, you will need to install the AHCI drivers after you install XP using IDE. Or you can remain in IDE mode and never bother with AHCI. SSD's do work in IDE mode, they don't need AHCI like some people think.
