Woah! Issue recognizing Force 120gb

Got this hard drive recently, installed win 7 with no hassle. Went to restart to apply video card drivers and allow another application or 2 to take effect. As I was trying to - windows crashed. Wouldn't recognize the drive on reboot - BIOS said the drive wasn't there. I used a sata to USB device to see if the drive could still be recognized - which it can - but cannot use or initialize disk. Other software I have used wouldn't recognize the drive either. Any help is appreciated - thanks!

PS - Did not get a chance to apply firmware update, didn't even try it before the crash.
