Never mind, I was able to get an answer over on the LTT forum instead. It seems that there will be no performance impact to using the Cablemod cables over the Corsair ones.

That's fair. I guess what I'm mostly talking about is when there's pressure to meet marketing deadlines causing unfinished stuff to be released, rather than simple oversights and what not being fixed...
