Mine also has the rattle issue with the LMB....

Mine also has the rattle issue with the LMB. Unfortunately for me, the button seams to not have enough lubricant on it which causes it to have a noticeable 'plastic rubbing against each other' sound...

It only needs two USB ports if you are using USB 2.0. If the main connector (the plug with the image of a keyboard on it) is plugged into a 3.0 or 3.1 port, then there is no need to use the second.

It should work just fine, although everything will be stuck on rainbow mode apart from the keyboard. You can get that CKB thing for MacOS to control your keyboard though.
