I think Lexar comes as a fixed disk. I use its BootIt unic utility with Corsair and fortunately it works. BootIt swithes the firmware bit that tells whether it is removable or not. "flip removable...

It might be the solution.
My 16GGT came as removable.

I used w98 boot disk, fdisk'ed/formatted 2 partitions, the first bootable fat32 and the second extended logical fat32.
Just the first is seen in Windows...

Can it make more than one partition? I think i'll try for 2, first ms-dos bootable and 2'nd to be able to quick format to erase because once i lost some 30 mins to erase 6Gb.
