  1. In this case I'd say the easiest thing to do is test the USB connectivity... If you have a usb-mini device I'd suggest plugging it into the cable coming from the USB header, otherwise inverse the concept and find another usb-mini cable and plug it into a usb slot from the rear i/o panel and into the pump base. In either case you'll determine if it's the pump base or the header (or possibly the cable) itself.
