brefonk22
I have received my AX1200i PSU today and I noticed that the 24 pin connector has one pin missing. See attached files. Is this normal? The problem is that my rig won't power on. Fans only spin for one sec and then stops. Could this be the main problem? I've also tried withous any GPU Mobo: Biostar TB85 BTC Pro GPU: 6 x MSI GTX 1070 AERO 8GB OC RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury Black HX316C10FB/4, 4GB DDR3, 1600MHz, CL10 CPU: Intel G1840 I did the self test and the PSU shows the green light. Any suggestions? Thanks guys!
Jeff L
It's normal for pin 20 to be missing.
Administrators Technobeard Posted June 19, 2017 Administrators Share Posted June 19, 2017 Correct. The -5V line used to be there. It was removed from the spec 14 years ago.
brefonk22
Hi, Thanks for the clarification! What can be the problem? I only used the PSU, CPU and the RAM memory and nothing. The rig won't power on.

The rig won't power on. hi. this is a bitcoin pc?? if this is a new build that you assembly then may be a bad cpu or mobo or psu or you didn't assembly something right and this part short circuit the pc and don't let it power on. in anycase if you dont have spare parts to test (other cpu, mobo, psu) you must go to a pc servive store i think. brefonk22
Yes. This should be a mining rig for ethereum. I did the self test and the PSU shows the green light so it should be ok. I will try to power on another mobo with this PSU in order to check if the problem comes from the PSU or from the Mobo. Thanks!
snapper69
Is the 8 pin motherboard connector connected correctly/fully? Have you tried reseating the memory or even trying with just one stick of memory in slot 1 or 3? Do you have a fan connected to the cpu fan header? brefonk22
Hi. I have connected only the fan from CPU. The 8 pin connector is carefully connected. I only have one stick of ram. Any suggestions?
