Hello everyone, thought I should make a new post in this section since it is going to be about my build. This will be my third PC I've built for myself and my 8th or 9th build total. This is by the far the biggest and most expensive build I have ever done. I will be asking questions and suggestions so hopefully y'all will take the time to help me out when needed.

Ordered the parts a couple days ago and they are now starting to trickle in. Perfect opportunity to begin the build and get what I can setup. Without the use of photobucket anymore I'll just upload the pictures of what I got so far and what I've done. I also ordered some LL120/140 fans, RGB strips and a Commander Pro.

Alright, so with just the case here I can get started switching out the stock SP120's and start putting in the LL140's and LL120's. Quick and easy to do nothing special, can't wait to see her RGB goodness!

I do have a question though. I don't have the Commander Pro yet, it will be here tomorrow. Should I connect the fans and strips to the Pro or do I use the node inside of the case and connect that to the Pro?

Inside of the case, you should have an RGB Fan Hub, which will support up to 6 fans (all of the same type). You did not mention if you go the multipack LL fans or only singles; the multipacks come with the RGB Fan Hub and the Lighting Node Pro. There are also 2 packs for the RGB strips: one that comes with the Lighting Node Pro and one "extension pack" without the LNP. You didn't mention which one of those you got either.

Either way, with the Commander Pro, you won't need the Lighting Node Pro. You can connect the RGB Fan Hub directly to the CoPro on 1 channel and to 4 RGB strips on the other channel. If you have more than 4 strips or you need another fan hub (if you want to have multiple types of RGB fans or more than 6 RGB Fans), then you'll need both the CoPro and an LNP.

Make sense?

Oh sorry about that! I bought these:

(1) Corsair RGB LED Lighting PRO Expansion Kit

(1) LL120 3-Pack with Lighting Node Pro (Front fan replacements)

(1) LL120 Single Pack (Going to use this as the rear exhaust)

(2) LL140 Single Pack (Top vent)

I haven't yet decided what I am going to do with the stock SP120 fans, probably connect two of them to the radiator.

So if I understood this correctly, I would attach all LL fans and strips to the CoPro. The CoPro will be hooked to the 1st slot on the Case fan hub. If I do end up using the SP fans I would attach them to the LNP and hook it up to the CoPro after, correct?

So more pieces to the build arrived, got back to working on the rest of the fans and wiring. So, I hooked all the fans up to the CoPro, the fan’s secondary wires I assume get plugged into the case hub, I think the case hub and the node are the same thing. The LED strips I believe just get connected to each other and then attach an extension to it, which I route to the CoPro as well.

Alright, MoBo came in yesterday! Still waiting on the GPU which should be here today! Started getting the parts in the case and working on more cable management. I swear I spend more time trying to figure out how I'm going to route the wires than anything.

I've also made a funny little video, enjoy.

I'm Jelly I wish I had gotten a corsair case, but I had wanted stock wheels...seems stupid now should have just bought casters. Have a 750d corsair case at the same time which was nice, but it didn't woo me enough at the time coming from another HAF coolermaster.

I have to figure out now how to mount your same water cooler in my system a HAF X case assuming i go that route... jealous of that ROG Swift too! I have a 144 low gray to gray 1080p of similar size, but that pixel density and refresh rate is killer.

Well, I got the computer up and running but majority of the fan lights arent coming on at all. Only the front top 2 fans light up and I cant even get them to change colors.

My Motherboard only has 2 USB 2.0 connectors which one is filled with the CPU cooler and the other with the case fan hub. It looks like I need another USB connector for the LNP. I'm probably **** out of luck right now until i can get some help.

Right i had that problem elsewhere they have usb splitters that would work for your cpu connector. I also need that and have now fans I cant plug in so i may go with a commander pro but theres a cheap option on amazon

like this

https://www.amazon.com/Header-Extension-Splitter-Connector-Adapter/dp/B076Q8685Y/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1515766358&sr=8-3&keywords=usb+header+splitter

but even tho its fifty bucks less it isnt solving my fan issues.

Here's the one I used, shop the price tho!

NZXT USB Hub

Wait, I'm confused, what happened to your CoPro?
