I would describe the theme I'm creating on the 600T as "Sci-Fi or Futuristic Military Equipment Cargo Carton" that has seen some action in the field. (No bullet holes on this one!) The drawings I posted are only Conceptual. The final piece will be slightly different and much more detailed. A large portion of the construction will involve PVC sheets and I will debut a brand new custom LED lighting system, compliments of I&H Accessories

Graphite Series 600T Manufacturer Product Information

The Graphite Series 600T is a mid-tower in height, but inside it’s positively cavernous. Easily accommodate even the longest graphics cards in the industry due to the reconfigurable hard drive bays. The increased space behind the motherboard tray allows clean, uncluttered cable routing. Up to six hard drive caddies, each of which can accommodate SSDs and standard mechanical disks, sit below the four 5.25" tool-free optical drive bays. If that weren’t enough, you can remove the top panel 200mm fan and install a 240mm radiator and dual 120mm fans for a quick watercooling upgrade.

Features for Builders

Corsair innovated cable routing with the Obsidian Series™ cases, and the Graphite Series features the same ingenious design. Pre-cut holes in the motherboard tray with rubber grommets and plenty of room behind the motherboard to route cables for a clean, uncluttered interior. The optical drive bays are tool-free, the side panels easily detach with the built-in latch mechanisms, and the integrated fan controller allows you to choose between quiet operation or maximum cooling performance.

Features include

* Twin 200mm cooling fans with white LEDs for excellent cooling

* Eight expansion slots provides you flexibility for multiple graphics card solutions

* Unique cable routing holes guarantees you a clean and clutter-free installation

* Integrated fan controller, for up to four fans, gives you the choice of noise vs. performance

* Tool-free optical drive installation makes building your system faster than ever

* CPU backplate cutout makes upgrading your CPU heatsink easy

* 2.5” and 3.5” hard drive compatibility for up to 6 drives — straight out of the box!

* Two year warranty with Corsair’s world-class customer service and technical support

You betcha!

Corsair plans to offer window version, but won't reveal when.

200mm Fan specs are 76 CFM @ 24.2 dB-A, RPM of the 200mm fan is roughly 800 or so (+/- 15%)

Fan controller is at least 5W per channel

Release date for the 600T on Newegg in US is Sept 23rd.

Final Thoughts

Overall Design & Construction is Excellent, It’s steel, but feels similar to Aluminum

Excellent Cable Management, anyone can make a cable job look nice in this case.

User Features, fan controller, option for 240 Radiator, adjusts to different length PSUs

Plenty of space, with room to accommondate larger video cards, removable HD cages layout options

Good Filtering, the entire front is filtered, with easy access for cleaning the filters.

Security, with discreet lock for the access panel.

WISH LIST

Window in Access panel version

3rd 200mm intake fan in the Access panel

Metal HD trays, instead of Plastic. fyi: Plastic releases on the optical bays are very durable.

360 Radiator option in the top panel. The space is there... just need to revise the exterior trim design

Color options, at least Silver.

Not going to complain about the $149.99 - $159.99 price tag, I think it’s very reasonable.

Oh Noooos! ....I wonder why?

Same! It went from today (08/09) to 22/09 for a couple of days, then today the further update to 07/10!

I checked on google maps, we're closer to China than L.A.!!!

But anyway, it's just an eta. Hopefully it won't take that long. My motherboard for example was out of stock on the 26th of August with an eta of 22/09 but they got stock in 2 days later (28th) which is when I placed my order. Although the major difference here is it's an existing product, whereas the 600T is new.

Looking forward to seeing more of your mod project too btw! The only changes I'm considering making is maybe replacing the 2 big fans with blue LED fans as all the components I've bought are black and or blue :) but I'll wait to see how it goes with the white first.

Hope they revise the date for you. It will be worth the wait tho. You should also replace the rear 120mm fan too, Occas

Here are the screen shots of the left custom side panel drawing in progress... The vents above the window are 1/4" wide. Smaller opening to right will be access doorway to HD bays.

Proximity to the port is one thing, but when your local retailer placed their order is another. We can only produce X amount per day - if we get more orders than we can produce in a day, we have to schedule it out.

So right now we have weeks full on our schedule, meaning that if you placed an order for a container of our cases it couldn't even leave the factory for weeks.

If your local reseller placed their order later than others, it might take them some time to get theirs shipped out.

Yeah I have no idea when they ordered. From when the case appeared on their site I'd guess around the 27th of August or so, They were the 1st etailer in Australia to list it, but anyway, thanks for the extra info! Glad to see they're so popular!

I am still confused why cases are still comming with more than 2 external 5 inch slots. Seriously, this case would have been so much better with 8-10 3.5 inch internals and less wasted space.

I was looking forward to this case but 6x3.5's just covers my data raid. Leaving me no space for my OS and program drives. I find the lack of 10 slot 3.5 inch mid tower cases rather baffling.

Somone explain to me what they are using the 4 external 5 inch slots for?

If you're running a minimum of 7 drives, dude you probably need to buy a full tower case. I've seen one mid tower case that supports 8 to my memory, and that's pretty uncommon in and of itself.

Every person is going to want different things in a case. In regards to 5.25" bays, some people want to put in memory card readers and touch screen fan controllers and others just like to have multiple optical drives.

Failing that, the Corsair reps have said that we should be able to buy extra hard drive racks to go alongside the included racks in the near future, so you should be able to fit in 9-12 drives depending on if you can get 1 or 2 extra racks in.

Failing that, you can get converters and other similar things that enable you to put 3.5" inch drives into the 5.25" drive bays.

Failing that, you can buy pci-express ssd drives pretty cheaply these days.

Yeah I agree, if they only put two 5.25" bays everyone would complain more! I have a DVD drive, Blu-ray drive, fan controller and a hot-swap bay for a 3.5 drive. That is four bays used not counting things like card readers, cooling tanks, and those over sized fan controllers, etc.

Like Occas said, just buy an additional 3 drive rack to put on the botton of the case or convert the 5.25" bays. I have seen products tat convert three 5.25" bays into four 3.5" bays.

Just test fitting the access door to the HD bay. The finger portion will be made deeper. After that, the next step is installing the Soss Hinges.
