  1. I'm in a similar boat myself. Some keys squeak. My keyboard is the K70 RGB MK.2 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard — CHERRY MX Silent. I have yet to isolate which ones or what I need to do to replicate it. For me though, I suspect some combination of the WASD based controls schemes are involved. Hard to find help on how to fix this online - for keys that, unlike the spacebar - don't have a metal stabilizer bar. For now I am just hoping a thorough cleaning on my keyboard will help some to alleviate the issue.
  2. I am currently in the process for doing an RMA for a set of RAM. Had to use an older kit I had on hand. It is the Corsair Vengeance RGB, CMR32GX4M4C3000C15 model. As it has been ages (like 2 years old) since I last used this kit, I thought I might need to update its firmware. However, I can't find that option inside of iCUE. So, my question is if it even has firmware that could be updated? How do I even check what firmware the RAM is using? I just can't locate the information about it and could use some help.
  3. Thanks for being super helpful, c-attack. Appreciate it
  4. Prior to creating a new profile, I elected to unplug the ST100 headset stand and plug in back in. It seemed to have helped. I initially was just going to doublecheck the lighting on the base, which is pretty much covered with desk clutter. Decided to unplug it while I was there. It got the lights on the base to light up again. Blue and purple work fine there. Slight improvement to the top LED. The blue up there just doesn't seem to be working. It is so dim that it is not being illuminated. Created a new profile and redid all of my RGB settings. Same trouble with the top blue LED on the ST100. Moving on to the RAM, the true blue 0/0/255 setting works. As do very slight deviations from in, like 5/0/255, which produces a violet hue. Kind of like what I wanted anyways. Much further away from true blue, say 20/0/255 produces something more pink than purple or violet. Definately not what I was used to seeing. Being as I have had the RAM for over a year now, I know what they had normally looked like. I am contemplating removing the RAM modules and reinserting them to see if that makes any difference. While that may be my next course of action, I am waiting to hear back from regarding a support ticket. I'd prefer not to have to mess with my internal components unless I really need to. Plus I have issues with one of the DIMM slots being a bit temperamental: I have for RAM modules and have seen only half recognized my my PC, as well as one or two not light up at all. However, I was also thinking I might need to do a clean reinstall of iCUE, including cleaning up any leftover remnant files.
  5. Thanks. Yeah, I can get the RAM to do all blue. But any deviation from the blue preset seems to cause trouble. I currently have them set for just blue. The ST100 is having the most issue. The blue barely lights up at all. At least for the topmost LED. The lights on the base are fine. I will be trying to create a new profile. I think the problem may have actually started when I lost a few profiles during my reinstalls. Edit: the true blue 0/0/255 setting seems to be most effective for both devices.
  6. I have tried a few different versions and reinstalls. It is affected two Corsair products. I am trying to set my ST100 RGB to a colour shift type effect - shifting from a blue to a violet or purple hue. The base lighting is working fine. However the top LED is only really showing the violet or purples hues. The blue looks to not be lighting up or illuminating - if it is even working. The other colours seem to be working fine. Maybe the blue colour died? Of more import to me is in regards to my DOMINATOR PLATINUM RGB RAM. Similar colours involved. Same colour shift setting. It seems like it does respond to changes; I can do other colours or patterns fine. But when I try to set it to my desired colours of blue and violet, I instead get blue and red. I can even set it to shift between two near identical hues of blue. And it still displays a red or pinkish shade. It is very frustrating. It had been working fine until a recent update to version 3.36.125. It seems my software is having trouble showing the blue and violet/purple hues correctly.
  7. Further testing has shown that it is still occurring. However it is less frequent now. It is worth pointing out that I am mostly seeing it when using the web browser Firefox. I recall also seeing it when I open an program or app. I was able to monitor some of the recent stutters or freezes. Seeing a slight spike in CPU usage during them. I wanted to add that I am using Windows 10 Pro, version 1909. [update:] I had a busy but fruitful morning. First I used Revo Uninstaller, CCleaner and DDU to uninstall my GPU drivers and GeForce Experience, EVGA Precision X1, as well as iCUE. Then I reinstalled both the Nvidia stuff and Precision X1. Gave it some time to test for the stuttering issue before I went ahead and finally reinstalled iCUE. It worked! My biggest troubles were with my audio settings and saved profiles or settings for things like my lighting setup & GPU overclock.
  8. Oh no! They have returned. I swear it is due to a recent update. Though I am not sure if it is iCUE and not EVGA's Precision X1 that is causing the trouble. Also ran into some audio issues earlier today: first frequent pauses or stutters in music that was playing with Windows Media Player, then a total loss of audio. I think I have fixed that. Hope the updates I did resolved the audio trouble. And maybe the stuttering too! I am using iCUE v. 3.28.70 EVGA Precision X1 v. 1.0.4 After doing the two updates and restarting, I have only run into the stutter one time. I was listening to music and had just opened the Snipping tool to grab an image. Things seemed to hang up, very briefly. So far it has been okay - about a half hour in to some music and using Windows.
  9. I have a K70 RGB MK.2 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard — CHERRY MX Silent. It has been acting up. One key in particular - the D key - fails to register keypresses. Being as it is one of the WASD keys, it gets used a lot in games. I have had issues with a few similar keys in the past. Did some cleaning underneath the keycap. Iso alcohol and compressed air. It seemed to fix it for the time being. Even used a handheld vacuum. Looking for some guidance on how to further clean the switch area of the key. I was not sure if there was a FAQ or Knowledge Base type article about cleaning the parts under the keycap itself.
  10. They are currently at stock settings, around 2100 Mhz. The RAM and RGB is not giving me any trouble. Debating trying to usde the XMP profile though.
  11. I did not want to post about how it went out of fear of jinxing myself. Gave it a few days first. So far, I have yet to see the micro-stutters or freezes of my mouse than I had before. The cleaner uninstall and reinstall I did may have done the trick. It is worth mentioning that I also get a new kit of RAM. My old ones flaked out on me and are being RMAed. Things I have yet to do: Overclock my CPU Overclock my GPU Enable XMP on the new Corsair RGB RAM
  12. I have yet to tweak their frequency settings. So, whatever their default is. I think it is a lowly 2100 or so Mhz
  13. Oh sorry, must had been unclear. I had to rearrange the RAM sticks a bit. Like swapping A and B or D for C. But I did manage to get all four DIMMs recognized by the system - after 2-3 reboots etc. There was one DIMM whose lighting was out of sync at first. It took until I got booted up into Windows and iCUE took over to sync up. I still need to tweak the lighting a bit. Using a Colour Shift, alternating between purple and blue. The purple is still a bit too pink for my liking - I'd rather a darker, violet like hue.
  14. I have updated back to the dreaded iCUE v3.19.120
  15. It arrived today and was just installed. My biggest issue was that I had to reboot a few times as one DIMM slot was not being detected. It only saw 3 of the four DIMMs. Leaving me with a lonely 48 GB off RAM rather than the 64 GB I expected. Though it was not too much of a shock; I saw similar behavior only earlier kits. Loving the lighting on them. I thought it might be too subdued. But no! And OMG, so many lighting mode options. Mind you that the old kit only had a blue LED that was really only capable of being Static or Pulsing.
