  1. Sorry for reviving an older thread - thought it might be noteworthy to add to the discussion. After updating a newly acquired C1i300 bios to 1CA, which was easy enough, I changed the cpu to a 13700kf (13900kf did not post & non-responsive into bios). Also removed the stock iLm and put on a Thermalright lga1700 bracket with KryonaughtExtreme paste (spread out evenly and light), changed to a 2tb 990Pro, and aded 4tb storage underneath it - Perfect pairing with 6400/CL30/1.35v ddr5. Temperatures are much better and performance is up about 25% over the 12900k with really slight tweaking (Cinebench R23 ~ 30387 at 85C). The bios for the MB seems to reflect the cooling capacity of the system, and fair enough, but future bios updates should should also accomodate features found on the retail version that give (new and original C1) owners options especially with straight forward upgrades. Still using the original 1080ti and liking this as much so still big thanks...
  2. Seems I'm having the same issue with my newly acquired i300. Everything else is working great but the default setting drops the top fan to 0 rpm meanwhile the extreme setting maxes out the top fan. The custom setting will keep the fan at the setting but won't ramp up when needed like it is supposed to. Was working before Windows updated the system now not sure if I should reinstall IQUE... or roll back whichever update causes this issue. Any insight appreciated. Thanks.
  3. I did an upgrade of my C1 - and after updating the bios to 2D (posted in a sticky) - neither a 9900k nor a 9900KF would boot into bios. However, the 9700k does indeed work perfectly... Overclocked nicely to 5.1ghz @ 1.34v on all 8 cores with comfortable temps (32/35C idle and <70C load). I can even get to 5.2ghz but voltage and temps are an issue - Not as stable as I would like *motherboard?* The ML140 pro is a more effective fan than the one it came with (goes to ~2000rpm). I also changed the PSU to an SF750 platinum (inverted towards radiator) and changed drives to 2x4tb Samsung ssd combining with storage spaces (2 columns *important to utilize cache of each drive*) - Tested everything and all good. So in the end, an effective upgrade for me because it is dead silent in normal everyday use - yet runs pretty much any game at ultra/high settings (not that I have much time anymore). Hope that helps some. Regards.
